OpenGPSR

Open reference database of economic operators and contact points for GPSR (EU 2023/988)

Status: v1.0 | GitHub

1. What is OpenGPSR?

OpenGPSR is a community-driven database aggregating information about economic operators and public contact points in the context of Regulation (EU) 2023/988 (GPSR – General Product Safety Regulation).

The project serves as a reference point for sellers, distributors, and e-commerce system integrators who need manufacturer identification and contact data, as well as the Responsible Person in the EU (if applicable). Each record is versioned, linked to a source, and maintains an informational verification status.

Note: OpenGPSR does not interpret regulations and does not ensure legal compliance — it provides standardized technical data for integration.

2. What OpenGPSR is NOT

To avoid operational and legal misconceptions, please assume that OpenGPSR:

  • Is NOT an official EU or national registry – it has no official status or authority authorization.
  • Does NOT guarantee completeness or accuracy – data may be incomplete or outdated.
  • Does NOT ensure legal compliance – using this data does not exempt you from verification.
  • Is NOT legal advice – it is a technical tool, not a legal interpretation.
